2. Program Details
  A. Common Selection Criteria
  ○ Suitability of the applicant
    - Checking the suitability of the individuals and their compatibility with the 
research program and research institution
  ○ Excellent quality of the applied program
    - Considering the program's scale, operational history, selection capacity, types 
of participating institutions, and qualitative excellence
    - Duration of participation (research) and research topic
    - Preference given to collaborations with outstanding institutions and research centers
  ○ Potential for Future Collaboration
    - Expanding the network with partner universities and institutions
    - Preference given to high likelihood of future international joint research and 
ongoing collaboration and exchanges

C. Case 1: Overseas Research Internship Support for Selected Students 
  
This program supports students who have applied and been individually selected 
to an outstanding overseas research institutions (universities) and are engaged in 
research activities. 
    
  ○ Eligibility
    GIST undergraduate students who have been accepted as interns at overseas 
institutions (such as university research labs).
  - Target period: Based on 6-10 weeks during the summer or winter vacation period.
  ※ If the program period is less than 6-10 weeks or exceeds this range, support may be 
available after evaluation.
  ※ After receiving internship approval notification, students should apply to this program 
and must be currently enrolled in GIST at the time of the internship start date 
(regardless if they take a leave of absence during the internship period due to an 
extension of the internship period).

※ The internship program will support a student once per period (no additional support 
will be provided for extended participation).
※ If support from other institutions is received for the same internship program, 
additional participation fee support from GIST is available for the unsupported parts.
- If support for other irregular expenses is needed, they will be calculated at 50% of 
the fixed amount per region.
- The maximum amount of additional (duplicate) support is limited to the fixed amount per region.
※ Reapplication for the scholarship is possible if the target institution for the internship is different.

D. Case2: Overseas Research Internship Support for Independent Students
This program is designed for students who individually contact overseas institutions 
(such as university research labs) to conduct research. Approved students will be 
provided with support.
  
  ○ Eligibility
  GIST undergraduate students who have been accepted as research interns at overseas
